The story follows a young boy by the name of Marek who gains the company of Ina, a blind midwife. But Ina's abilities go beyond childcare: she has an uncanny ability to interact with nature. Her gift allows her to acquire sacred knowledge on levels much beyond those available to villagers, regardless of how religious they are. Moshfegh’s Writing is notorious for being comically dark and twisted so I’m excited to see how this story plays out. The book is expected to come out June 21 2022.
